OVERVIEW
We were asked by the client to create a solution for adding the Apple Pay feature into their mobile app. At this time, the Starbucks app only supported payments through its Starbucks Rewards card, Starbucks gift cards, Venmo, PayPal, or manually adding a credit/debit card.
The biggest challenge was designing a new experience while maintaining consistency with their existing design standards. Ultimately we succeeded by staying true to the Starbucks design system and adhering to Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines for Apple Pay.
